Metida Law Firm of Reda Zaboliene has recently undergone the expansion of practice through geographic scope by opening two branch offices. The first office was opened to the Belorussian public in September 2012 and is located in Minsk, whereas the second one was started in October 2012 and is based in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Metida has been providing legal services for over twenty years. Driven by experience, vast market knowledge and ever growing interest by foreign businessmen into the Eastern Europe Region, the company has decided to create an environment where Lithuanian and foreign businesses could benefit from a law firm they can rely on.
The nature of the business today is such that large enterprises see the Baltic countries and Eastern Europe as a homogeneous region. Building our presence in the region and thus guaranteeing the highest competence in the intellectual property services is of utmost importance.
The office in Belarus is being represented by Olga Kouznecova who has been working in IP law sector since 1978. The lawyer specializes in Eurasian and Belorussian patents, trademarks and designs, copyright law and domains. Olga has been entitled to work as a patent attorney in Belarus and Eurasia since 1993 and 1995 respectively. She is also a secretary of the Belorussian National Group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and the Chairperson of the Board of the Belarusian association of Patent Attorneys.
The Latvian office is being represented by Eugenija Gainutdinova. The lawyer has been active in IP law sector since 2005. Eugenija is an expert in national patents of Latvia, applications for European or international patents, registration of Latvian, international and European Community trademarks. She is also a member of the Association of Patent Attorneys of Latvia.
